Reindeer went on a long journey to find the Amiudake mushroom and almost got himself killed in the process. Chopper even had to face his old herd to find the mushroom and bring it back to cure Hiriluk. After seeing Chopper hurt and full of bruises, Hiriluk did not dare to tell him that the mushroom was not medicine. Instead, the doctor ate it, even though it was going to kill him. Chopper eventually understood what was happening, and to make things less painful to him, Dr. Hiriluk killed himself before the poison kicked in. Why Chopper Will Steal The Show In One Piece Season 2 Chopper has been a fan-favorite for decades One of the best things about One Piece is how many great, colorful characters from all sorts of backgrounds exist in the world created by Eiichiro Oda. In the same universe where a stretchy boy who cannot swim wants to become King of the Pirates, a reindeer who acquired human features after eating a Devil Fruit wants to become a doctor to honor his father. Chopper is perhaps the best example of what makes One Piece such a unique story, even if compared to other beloved manga. A fun, charismatic character, Chopper can easily steal the show in season 2. How One Piece will create a live-action Chopper remains to be seen. Bringing a character who is both a reindeer and a human, and that can transform his body depending on what the fight requires, poses a lot of challenges when it comes to visual effects. Chopper will most likely be created entirely through CGI, which is also risky even in big-budget productions. That said, the visuals in One Piece season 1 were solid, including for Devil Fruit powers like Luffy’s. Hopefully, Chopper’s design in live-action will capture all the things that make the character so special. One Piece Already Proved It Can Nail Chopper’s Origin Story Netflix’s One Piece properly adapted the Straw Hats’ backstories Chopper is not the only One Piece character to have a tragic backstory. All of the Straw Hat pirates have meaningful

One of the biggest additions to the live-action Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece’s live-action series in season two will be Tony Tony Chopper. While no casting announcements have been made for the reindeer doctor, creator Eiichiro Oda all but confirmed that the anime character is headed to the Netflix series when the second season was confirmed. As fans continue to wonder how Chopper will appear in the series, Weekly Shonen Jump is teasing something of a reveal for the beloved member of the Going Merry. As the Straw Hats sail to season two, Chopper’s reveal is one of the most anticipated events. Videos by ComicBook.com Chopper appearing in Netflix’s One Piece should come as no surprise to anime fans who have followed the shonen franchise. The live-action adaptation has made it no secret that they are aiming to stay true to the source material by Oda, confirming that they’ll stick to this ideology for season two. This means that Luffy and his crew will be visiting the likes of Loguetown, Alabasta, Little Garden, and most assuredly, Drum Island. When they visit the frozen landscape of Drum, the Straw Hats run into the reindeer doctor who eventually ends up joining their quest.Tony Tony TeaserIn the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, the monthly publication that prints One Piece and many other anime favorites, it was teased that an outline of the live-action Tony Tony Chopper will arrive in the 39th Issue of the magazine in 2024. While the publication will arrive next week in Japan, the image itself is sure to make its way online to give fans a look at the “outline” of the next live-action Straw Hat. One of the biggest questions surrounding Chopper in a live-action setting is how Netflix can bring the character to life. Obviously, the reindeer doesn’t look all that human most of the time, instead switching from from pint-sized to behemoth to looking like a full-on reindeer. The upcoming teaser might fill One Piece fans in on whether Tony Tony will be brought to life using prosthetics or via CG.Want to see Tony Tony Chopper’s live-action debut? Is one of the new One Piece characters to expect in season 2, it's hard to know exactly how he will be brought to live-action. One possibility is to make Chopper entirely computer-generated. CGI can be controversial because of its often inconsistent results, but it's a strong option when the character in need of portrayal is a human-reindeer hybrid. Chopper's unique appearance is going to be difficult to create no matter what, but CGI's major advantage over other methods of special effects is that there's basically nothing that it can't generate. One of the major problems with CGI, however, is that it can be very expensive and time-consuming. Chopper is one of One Piece's main characters, meaning he will have a lot of screen time. If he needs to be computer-generated for every scene, it's going to add up to quite the expense. Making Chopper entirely with CGI could even require his character to be trimmed from the plot a bit, so the show doesn't have to spend so much money on every scene he's present for. For those reasons, CGI alone is probably not the answer. 5 Chopper Will Be A Puppet In One Piece Season 2 Another option for Chopper's live-action portrayal in One Piece season 2 is to use a puppet. The world of animatronic puppets and other types of prop puppets has become extremely advanced. Puppets can be made to look highly realistic, often going unnoticed when they are used. Notably, puppets have been used in some of the most iconic movies and TV shows ever, including Jurassic Park and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, so they are clearly a viable option in this type of complicated casting scenario. Using a puppet to portray Chopper would definitely work, though, obviously, One Piece would have to use a voice
