It has three separate timers for keeping track of multiple cooking projects, and each one has a unique beep pattern so you know which timer has ended. It has a backlight to make it easier to read, and it was the only timer I tested that had a lock function so I could safely drop it into a pocket without accidentally screwing up the countdown.
